Hi. I make crappy animations as a hobby, and I wondered if anyone out there would be prepared to help me out with my latest one. It’s a spoof news report on the Royal Wedding. Basically, I need an American with a microphone and computer who would be willing to record themselves reading out half a page or so of information in the style of a TV news anchorman or woman.

My animations don’t make any money so I can’t afford to pay. You do get a copy of the finished animation though, full credit in the titles (unless you would prefer not to), and an agreement to pay you 20% of any profits in the unlikely event there are any.

What I need you to do is record a set of phrases I will send you, either all in one take or in several smaller files (whatever you prefer), and email me the resulting file(s) in wav or mp3 format.

Windows has a built in sound recorder which will let you record up to 2 mins, and even if you have no other software this should be sufficient to record the lines in a couple of separate takes. I can take care of processing the sound files afterwards to remove hiss, alter pitch etc.
